1. Charcoals

Indian Restaurant Glasgow City Centre

Upon entering the restaurant, your nostrils are greeted with delicious scents of Indian cuisine. Charcoals is one of the best indian restaurant in Glasgow, an award-winning restaurant that serves Indian cuisine cooked on a charcoal grill. The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed and the service is very good, we are very well received.

The  chiefs at Indian Charcoals restaurant prepare each dish from the restaurant's extensive menu and often modify dishes for gluten-free and vegetarian diets. Charcoals offers exceptional dishes, for example Tikka dishes like the manik chicken tikka are very popular, they are each marinated in a host of exotic spices for 24 hours before being cooked in the tandoor.

2. Nippon Kitchen

Japonese Restaurant Glasgow City Centre

Nippon Kitchen is a Japonese restaurant and once inside, you are immersed in a very pleasant and relaxing Japanese universe in the heart of Glasgow. The wood-panelled dining room is hung with kabuki masks and fabric panels of Japanese woodcuts and, while spacious, its layout allows for a sense of intimacy. Many menu items are inspired by recipes and techniques collected in Japan and practically everything is made in-house, from sushi to ice-cream.

Bento boxes are a good choice for the indecisive, served with miso soup and rice, each variety includes a number of items such as vegetable gyoza, chicken and spring onion skewer, and soft-shell crab, as well as a portion of sushi. Chicken in a light batter cooked on the teppan grill is elevated by an accompanying spicy tomato sauce and spanking fresh fish is showcased in top-notch sashimi. Equal care is paid to the wine list, and a selection of premium sakes and Japanese whiskies is also available.

3. Las Iguanas

Latin Restaurant Glasgow City Centre

Las Iguanas Glasgow is a fun Latin American bar and restaurant on West Nile Street. It's an open space with a theater-style kitchen so guests can watch the chefs in action. The large windows are ideal for people watching and in the warmer months the windows open and the tables are laid on the sidewalk. Parties are welcome while children have their own menu.

Mexican cuisine is one of my favorite cuisines, so I have to say that I'm pretty picky when it comes to choosing the right place to eat. Las Iguanas now blend the Latin vibe with a Brazilian section of the menu and various South American iconic flavours round, giving us much more choice, plus they have a complete vegetarian menu

Las Iguanas is on West Nile Street in Glasgow city centre. Queen Street and Central rail stations are within a five minute walk. There is restricted on-street parking and pay parking at, for example, the NCP facility on Mitchell Street. Nearby attractions include Gallery of Modern Art, the shops of Buchanan Street and Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

Restaurant options : Halal, Vegetarian, Gluten-free

4. Steak Cattle & Roll

Steakhouse Restaurant Glasgow City Centre

The steakhouse restaurant Steak Cattle and Roll is located in Merchant City in Merchant Square more precisely, with an outdoor seating area, an interior and another inside the square. It's the perfect setup for those looking for outdoor dining in Glasgow, because you can feel like you're out and still avoid the rain. Their interior design is cool, modern and stylish. There is a stream of wood and neon red lighting from outside, through the restaurant inside and out on the square.

Their burger menu has three separate categories: beef, chicken and vegan, all of which are made in house from scratch with fresh produce. The burgers, as well as subs, wraps and hot dogs range from £7 to £12, whilst a steak will cost between £18 and £28 depending on the cut and weight. Also part of the main menu are an array of starters, salads and sides. A very reasonably priced menu, and the huge portions make it even better value for money.

Steak, Cattle & Roll may be just outside the city-centre but it’s actually very easy to get there by bus (various routes stop on Cathedral St) or by train to High Street. There is space for cars to park directly outside, if that’s full then there’s a pay-and-display behind.

Restaurant options : Halal, Vegetarian, Gluten-free
