It's not a secret that student life in the UK can be particularly pricey. Fortunately, there are thousands of student discounts in the UK to improve the purchasing power of students. I wanted to do this article because I myself am a student, and as part of my Erasmus year and as a student I wanted to save money so I could travel more . In this article I will list all my best student deals !

NUS Extra Card

NUS Extra is a student card offering you discounts from hundreds of retailers, restaurants and travel providers. It's supplied by the National Union of Students and you can buy it through your Students' Union. Nus Extra card costs you £12 for 1 year it really worth it as student are likety to save around £500 a year with this card ! You can buy one here, it will gives you access to discounts with more than 200 UK brands, both online and on the high-street.  Personally, I often use this card to do my shopping at the CO-OP of my street, and that allows me to save 10% on my purchases, which is not negligible !

The 16-25 Railcard

The 16-25 Railcard is just a MUST-HAVE, you must absolutely get it, you must know that in the UK even for short trips you may be brought to take the train, there is train stations almost everywhere! Invest in a 16-25 Railcard and you'll have the chance to save a lot - Railcard saves you 1/3 of all train tickets for a year and costs just £30.
